A master barber performs many of the same tasks as a regular barber, but they possess more training and experience, allowing them to become a master of their craft and command higher pay.

The training curriculum to become a master barber includes all of the standard hair cutting, styling, and coloring techniques using the customary barber tools, such as clippers, razors, and shears. However, in addition to basic barbering techniques, master barbers also learn techniques for hair relaxing, permanent waving, and a variety of other men’s hair and beard services.
